DAB radio review: The View Quest Retro Mini

DAB radio review: The View Quest Retro Mini

The winning combination of retro looks with modern technology is a style that’s been tried and tested by Roberts with their Revival Radio range. View Quest has introduced a similar retro style radio that also includes a neatly integrated iPod dock. It has also introduced to market a mini version without an iPod dock that still packs a punch and has all the style of its big brother.

View Quest’s Retro Mini features DAB, DAB+ and FM radio reception which means you have access to the full range of digital and analogue services across the UK and Europe. This is a wonderful little gadget with a surprisingly big sound. We expected a slightly tinny sound coming from such a small box but it was far more extensive and sophisticated even picking up deeper bass notes.

The Retro Mini features a stylish leatherette wrap which is available in 11 design influenced colours and three Emma Bridgewater patterns.

If it’s time to enjoy your favourite tracks from your own music library simply connect any smart device via Bluetooth, or if you’d prefer use the 3.5mm aux-in connection. Other cable connections include, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB charging port so you can charge up your device as you stream.

The price point at £59.99 is also very accessible. View Quest’s product range is impressive with styles that have been inspired by screen stars of yesteryear including Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn.
