New website for vintage & contemporary homeware

From vintage-style filament lightbulbs and authentic industrial lampshades, to bold and bright soft furnishings created by contemporary designers, the new website from The Gifted Few is the must-bookmark site for any discerning interior design enthusiast and homeware fanatic.

Coinciding with The Gifted Few’s first anniversary of trading, the new website – launched 18th October 2014 – offers over 200 products from 15 sources and designers, with more lines being added on a regular basis.

When The Gifted Few launched 12 months ago, it initially sold authentic vintage and industrial lighting, furniture and accessories, sourced through forgotten venues and locations across Europe and lovingly restored. Staying true to its roots, the new website stocks a variety of products that would complement an assortment of different properties and interior styles, including filament lightbulbs (starting price £7.95), Benjamin RLM Vintage Industrial enamel pendant lamps (starting price £109.95) and Vintage Industrial Pragotron clocks (starting price £109.95).

Expanding its range to now include the works of contemporary designers and artisan craftspeople, The Gifted Few also stocks:

  • Colourful geometric and nature-inspired lampshades (from £49) and wallpapers (£140 a roll) by designer Lorna Syson
  • Funky textiles and cushions from Flock, including the digitally printed, linen Northmore Major cushion (£65) and the digitally printed, velvet Circuit Slate cushion (£55)
  • Stunning vintage cocktail chairs from Florrie & Bill, reupholstered in gorgeous Flock fabrics (from £595)
  • Vibrant, quirky and colourful 40cm x 40cm cushions with a variety of illustrations from Ohh Deer (starting price £34.95)
  • A wide range of artisan fair trade homeware and kitchenware from Nkuku, including zinc and copper edged glass picture frames (starting price £9.95), brass divider box (£19.95) and chalkboard storage jars (starting price £16.95)
  • Cookware from Netherton Foundry, which designs and creates beautiful and quality products from materials sourced in Shropshire and its neighbouring counties, including a set of spun iron frying pans (£134.95) and a smoke sunset hand painted tagine and cast iron bowl (164.95)
  • Beautifully crafted products from Cream Cornwall, including octopus serving mat (£17) and anchor place mat (£9.95)

“The Gifted Few was born of a desire to make good design accessible to all – an ethos shared by one of our design heroes, Charles Eames,” said Sarah Ritchie, creative director at The Gifted Few. “For us, this not only means unearthing hidden gems from the early and mid-century, but also searching for the best contemporary designers and craftspeople, whose work will sit side-by-side on our new website. We refuse to inflate our prices to extortionate levels and insist on inspiring people, whether they’re on a mission to kit out their whole home or workplace to match their personal tastes, or simply want one or two special items that can help bring a room to life.”
