Pure Appeals To Trendier Market With New ‘Pop Range’

Pure Appeals To Trendier Market With New ‘Pop Range’

The Pop digital radio from Pure is a revelation in the digital radio market. Its styling is a departure from the retro themed looks of its usual offering; however its looks are cool and trendy and it will appeal particularly to a younger crowd.

The Pop range comes in three separate models – the mini, the midi and the maxi. We’re reviewing the largest maxi in the range, which comes with Bluetooth connectivity as standard.

The radio is a special edition nautical ‘Whitby’ themed model, which is available from John Lewis and designed in collaboration with British interior designers Mini Moderns. Inspired by 1950s linocuts, Mini Moderns’ Whitby design captures the majesty and beauty of the open sea. It is inspired by holidays in the busy and picturesque North Yorkshire seaside location, which is also a working fishing harbour. The design features seagulls and fishing boats in a clear and jaunty blue and white colour scheme.

The radio is perfect for streaming apps such as Spotify, or an iTunes collection, and the audio quality is surprisingly clear and crisp with bass sounds clearly discernible. It features dual stereo speakers to fill a room with sound, and comes with a rechargeable battery pack, making it perfect for portability. DAB/FM radio functions well and the sound quality matches Pure’s more expensive heritage and retro-themed range.

Recently a winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2015, the Pop range’s look was updated with the latest trends in interior design by partnering with Mini Moderns, whose attention to details and creative influence matched perfectly with the Pure brand.

Benefitting from Pure’s heritage of British design and engineering, the practical and stylish Pop family uses highly energy efficient digital audio amplification to deliver the best possible sound quality, excellent battery life and low power amplification.

The Pop Maxi radio with Bluetooth is available for £109.95; Pop Midi with Bluetooth by Mini Moderns, a more compact version, is available for £89.95 at John Lewis.
